Google Doodle celebrates Canada day!
In case you were hiding a under a rock all day, Google helped Pac Man celebrate its 30 year anniversary, with the first interactive doodle ever. It is a fully playable version of the original and highly addictive Pac Man.
Google helps to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Hubble Telescope. From the google homepage you can click on sections of the picture which are actual links to various galaxies on Google Sky (space). Pretty cool.
This decision means there are no protections for consumers’. Companies selling Internet access are free to play favorites with content on their networks, to throttle certain applications or simply to block others.
This does not only prevent illegal downloading as the ISP would like you to believe. In the US, comcast deliberately slows down Google searches in favour of Bing, because Microsoft threw a bunch of money at them.
Potentially your ISP could block whatever they like including your use of tumblr or twitter, and make you pay for their versions. They could slow down the speed of your facebook access and then charge you for full access. These ideas are far fetched and very unlikely, however the possibility does exist.
What do you think of the courts decision against the FCC?

Sesame Street celebrates its 40th anniversary in just a few days and Google is helping to celebrate. So far we have seen several Sesame street themed doodles and rest assured we will see more.
Stay close to this post and I will add them to the slideshow as more doodles become available. (that should also autoupdate any reblogs also, so feel free to do so)
